57 - 71 Broadway, Peterborough

Several period properties comprising 57 - 71 Broadway in Peterborough were acquired jointly by The Frenbury Group and Iceni Developments Ltd in October 2006 for £1.825m.

A programme of refurbishment is being undertaken on each property upon lease expiries. Number 63 has just been completely refurbished and has been let at £18,900 p.a. to Compass Peterborough Ltd who had outgrown their current premises.

A similar refurbishment was carried out on the ground floor of Stanley House, Numbers 57 - 59, which comprised 1,428 sq ft and which was let on completion to Young Lives Limited at £16,500 p.a.

Number 65 quickly followed which was let during refurbishment for £18,900 p.a., comprising 1,714 sq ft, to Staffline Recruitment Group Plc.

The lease of Number 61 has also been renewed for another 5 years to Family Mediation Service for £19,200 p.a (£12.50 psf).

A detailed planning application has been submitted to create a development of ten one and two bedroom flats on the rear of the site. It is hoped that work will start during summer 2009. The proposed development overlooks Stanley Recreation Ground.
